Job Summary:
As a YouTube Content Creator, you will be responsible for producing captivating video content that showcases the capabilities of our film studio and appeals to the photography community. You will have access to our studio space and equipment, allowing you to create content free of charge. The content created will cover a variety of topics such as lighting setups, unboxing videos, camera reviews, and experimental photography techniques. The desired style of content should emulate the engaging and informative approach of popular YouTube channels like MKBHD and Peter McKinnon.
Responsibilities:
- Develop creative concepts and scripts for YouTube videos focused on photography-related topics, keeping in mind the target audience's interests and preferences.
- Utilize our studio space, lighting equipment, and other resources to produce high-quality video content.
- Capture professional-quality footage using cameras, lenses, and other relevant equipment provided by the studio.
- Edit videos using industry-standard software to ensure a polished final product that aligns with the desired YouTube style.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and equipment in the photography industry to deliver informative and relevant content.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to optimize video titles, thumbnails, descriptions, and tags for better discoverability and audience engagement.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to improve content quality and increase subscriber base.
- Engage with the YouTube community by responding to comments, interacting with subscribers, and fostering a positive and supportive online environment.
- Keep track of YouTube analytics and performance metrics to identify areas of improvement and optimize content strategy.
- Stay up to date with YouTube policies and guidelines to ensure compliance in all content produced.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in video production and content creation for YouTube, preferably in the photography niche.
- Strong knowledge of photography techniques, lighting setups, camera gear, and related topics.
- Proficiency in videography and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.).
- A portfolio or YouTube channel showcasing your previous work and demonstrating your ability to create high-quality, engaging content.
- Excellent storytelling and scriptwriting skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Up-to-date with current YouTube trends, best practices, and algorithm changes.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as collaborate effectively with the marketing team and other stakeholders.
- Ability to meet deadlines and deliver consistently high-quality content.
- Understanding of copyright laws, fair use, and intellectual property rights as they pertain to content creation on YouTube.
Compensation:
- Base salary of $800- 1500 a month and a share of the ad revenue generated by the YouTube channel.
