About the role
You will be required to create, update and review health, safety, environment and energy focused content for the Barbour International Service. Most of the time, you’ll be creating Within this, you’ll conduct research, analyse and gain a comprehensive understanding of key health, safety, environment and energy topics (from a legislative and official guidance perspective) in multiple jurisdictions and use this intelligence to produce factual guidance content for a professional audience.
You’ll eventually become familiar and knowledgeable on sources of official information, government and legislative structure, and keep up to date with current affairs within this this sector. You will understand, analyse and summarise this information, along with other relevant news and topics which will be relevant to our audience.
The content you create will be suitable for a professional, business-to-business audience, being factual, interesting, well written and easily digestible. You’ll be working on defined content templates and specifications which define both the structure and guide on the extent of coverage. With these templates, you’ll create content in line with our defined content types, for example technical guides, topic facts and legislation summaries, while also working to Barbour standards relating to quality, accuracy, coverage and the fulfilment of user expectations.
You’ll also have opportunity to review, assess and verify content produced by other writers. As well as reviewing the accuracy of content, raising any issues or querries identified at any point during the content research, review and creation process.
About You
Our ideal candidate for this role will have experience of researching and writing Technical Content, with an understanding of health and safety and/or the environment and energy sectors. Bonus points if you can understand Legislation and legal governance too!
You’ll have excellent writing skills, able to easily summarise and product engaging content, even under pressure. You’ll be naturally attentive, extremely organised and happy to work as part of our Barbour Team.
