Our marketing team
At Knak, we market to the world's top marketers, and they have high standards. Our marketing team leads by example, championing creativity in our own work, and also the work of our customers. That means we do as much as we can in-house, from strategy to concept to creation to deployment. Our campaigns and content aim to grow the business, while also inspiring, informing and adding value for customers and prospective customers alike.
We're a decidedly new-school marketing team that constantly evolves our approaches. But we're also pragmatic, never shying away from proven methods that we know to drive success.
Roles and responsibilities
As a content writer, you'll:
- Help to execute and manage content and copywriting projects as per the overarching content editorial calendar and content strategy
- Write and execute content that will be created for various channels, including blog articles, podcasts, reports, emails, sales decks and social media posts
- Execute on SEO content per creative briefs delivered by SEO consulting experts
- Maintain the Knak "brand voice" and help empower others to use the voice
- Participate in copywriting efforts for the web, internal communications, talent marketing and customer communications
- Analyze and optimize the performance of content in market
- Manage contractor assignments, coordinate reviews and approvals, and keep team members aligned on deliverables and due dates
- Give progress reports and status updates on a weekly basis
- Collaborate with social media, design, web team and growth team to help teams promote the content ensuring everyone is aligned, informed and aware of content status.
Skills and experience
- Outstanding copywriting skills: making subject lines that sing, landing pages that land and content that is captivating to read and gets results
- 3-5+ years of experience in a similar role at an agency or B2B company
- Experience balancing multiple projects, helping to prepare creative briefs, and providing status updates
- A flare for creativity
- Great communication skills to keep teams informed and participate in team discussions
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for flawless execution
- Experience in a fast-growing SaaS environment is a plus
- Basic WordPress skills are a plus
- Experience supporting multi-channel content programs
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and verbal and written communication skills
- Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to thrive in an growth environment
