About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Content Creator to join our team at our Social and Digital Agency (so.da). Reporting to the Manager of Social - Lifestyle, you will be responsible for creating lifestyle social and digital content, as well as managing a roster of content creators who supply content for various lifestyle brands across food, home, beauty, fashion, wellness, pop culture and more. You’ll also have the opportunity to work closely with our sales team on monetization opportunities.
You will contribute by:
- Content Creation - Produce and edit creator-led lifestyle editorial and branded video content for deployment across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube and Web.
- Creator Management - Identify and manage a roster of freelance creators and content contributors, including:
- identifying new creators
- fielding content pitches
- providing outlines, workback schedules and detailed feedback
- editing content
- managing invoice intake & budget tracking
- facilitating negotiations with creators
- managing legal contracts
- Branded Content Creation - Conceptualize and execute creator-led branded content opportunities, which could include:
- orchestrating creator outreach
- working with Sales team to update branded content rate cards
- managing creator workflow
- editing branded video content
- participating in an on-camera talent capacity
- Collaboration - Work with producers, social and digital strategists to identify lifestyle content priorities, then conceptualize how areas of alignment can be amplified through engaging social and digital content.
- Facilitate social and digital content delivery to Community Managers and Digital Producers for deployment.
- Keep abreast of evolving industry trends and developments, applying social and digital insights to content creation.
- Video editing - proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, with examples to demonstrate quality of work
- A minimum of 2+ years of creating content for social and/or digital, video and static
- A deep understanding of the Creator/Influencer space in Canada, cross-platform
- In-depth knowledge of key platforms including: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and Pinterest
- Understanding of key social and digital success metrics; instincts and intuition around what makes great social /digital content
- Project management experience and impeccable organizational skills
- Proven ability to juggle multiple projects in an energetic, fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Creative sensibility and storytelling
- Aptitude for lifestyle brands
- Candor, openness, integrity and respectfulness
- Photography and photo editing knowledge an asset
- Excellent information synthesis, communication and collaboration skills
