Job description
What You’ll Be Doing
Content Designers at CIBC Digital write, edit and proofread content for CIBC.com and affiliated websites. You’ll work on projects to craft compelling sales and marketing copy, product information, and copy for online tools like calculators. You’ll also author content in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
How You’ll Succeed
- Designing content: You have excellent writing and editing skills, of course, with a conversational tone and a flair for clear, plain language. (Is passive voice hated by you? Good!) You’re ready to pitch in on researching information and auditing content to make sure your writing supports the strategic big picture. If you understand accessibility and search engine optimization, and have experience writing for financial institutions, all the better.
- Communicating: Digital writers collaborate with many partners and clients. Project teams can include business representatives, subject matter experts, project managers, user experience and visual designers, translators, developers, testers and external vendors. Excellent communication, consultation and interpersonal skills are a must.
- Taking initiative: You need to be comfortable juggling multiple priorities with tight deadlines. You’ll often have to take initiative to resolve the complexities and ambiguities that arise on projects.
