Paradise Wildlife Park
Calling all experienced content creators! Are you seeking an exciting and creative role in social media and digital production?
Aaron, Tyler and Cam Whitnall are three brothers who live and work at Paradise Wildlife Park & The Big Cat Sanctuary. They support global conservation projects and have a kid’s TV series (One Zoo Three).
They are now looking for a talented content creator to research, produce and edit photos & videos for their social platforms (social media and digital).
An integral element of the role is to work closely and supportively with the brothers and other members of our zoo family, so you’ll need to be a team player with a positive, friendly attitude.
You should be social media savvy across a variety of platforms and able to assist with scheduling posts, as well as coming up with content ideas for multiple channels.
You will be involved in the brother’s creative development; therefore, keeping up to date with current trends is an essential part of the job. With strong planning and communication skills, you will be expected to work independently as well as in a close team setting, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and complete priorities in a fast-paced environment.
You’ll require great photography and video editing skills and be able to use a DSLR camera and will need a solid social media understanding and plenty of experience running one (or ideally more) band/artist social accounts.
Being proactive and enthusiastic with ideas, demonstrating a passion for the brothers’ brand and values, and having excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills are key.
A passion for animals, sanctuaries, zoos and conservation would be desirable.
Lastly, confident use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs is advantageous.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities include:
Produce content for Aaron, Tyler and Cam Whitnall - including videos, photos, and social media
Skilled in video editing (using Adobe Premiere or Final Cut X)
Assist with the brothers’ online & social media activity (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok & Twitter), seeking and capturing opportunities to improve the use of social media and developing followers & customer engagement
Collect content from site events, our wonderful animals and other areas
Generate, edit, publish & share weekly content, focusing on short-form content that builds meaningful connections
Spearhead the ambitious growth in audience retention, watch time and engagement
Be an expert on any changes to trends in video publishing and social media and ensure you are ahead of the curve when it comes to published content
Ensure all content is produced in keeping with the tone relevant to each of the brother’s channels
Represent Paradise Wildlife Park & The Big Cat Sanctuary at conferences, events & associations (BIAZA, EAZA, WAZA)
Working Conditions
Permanent; Full-Time position; 40 Hours per week, generally worked Monday to Friday 08.00-17.00, with some early/late/flexible working to accommodate deadlines and special events
28 days annual leave
Salary dependent on skills and experience
Potential to travel abroad to our conservation partners and take advantage of other exciting opportunities
