As a Social Media Marketing Intern for Bazar, you will be an essential part of our TikTok Creator Marketing Program, responsible for creating engaging content that drives brand awareness, app installs, sales, and virality. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about entrepreneurship, content creation, marketing, and sales, and who have a deep understanding of shopping trends and Social Media culture.
Please note that this position will not be paid unless you can help the business produces revenue. We would like to provide compensation through sales commissions, preferred revenue shares, or other means of value recognition. As a bootstrapped startup, we are looking for individuals who can help us monetize our marketplace while fostering a vibrant culture and community. Responsibilities:
Content Creation: Develop and create short-form content pieces for TikTok and Instagram. These content pieces should be designed to captivate audiences, promote brand awareness, drive app installs, and generate sales.
Marketing Strategies: Contribute innovative ideas, content strategies, and alternative marketing methods to accelerate business growth. Your insights and creativity will help shape our marketing initiatives and attract a larger audience.
Merchandise Curation: Assist in curating the merchandise selection on the marketplace and foster relationships between brands and customers. Your input will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our retail offerings.
Influencer Engagement: Establish and nurture relationships with relevant influencers in order to amplify brand reach and drive engagement. Collaborations with influencers will be a key component of our marketing strategy.
App Install and Sales Growth: Utilize cost-effective strategies to increase app installs and gross merchandise volume. Your goal will be to drive organic growth and optimize conversions.
Reporting and Insights: Regularly report on marketing activities, including performance metrics, and provide valuable insights for product improvement. Your analytical skills will help inform our decision-making process.
Qualifications:
TikTok Presence: Minimum of 50,000 TikTok followers or 100,000 likes, or a strong drive to achieve these milestones. A proven track record of generating online engagement is highly desirable.
Marketing and Content Experience: Relevant work experience in the marketing field or producing short-form content. Experience in bringing mobile applications or e-commerce brands to market is a significant advantage. Familiarity with Shopify brands or personal experience in building a successful Shopify brand with a demonstrated ability to generate sales is a plus.
UGC Content Creation: Experience developing user-generated content (UGC) for brands, with a focus on producing controversial, funny, or viral TikToks. Your creative and entertaining content will contribute to our brand's virality.
Team Player: Enjoy working collaboratively in a team environment. Your ability to work well with others and contribute positively to a team dynamic is essential.
Communication Skills: Reliable and professional communicator with strong interpersonal skills. Effective communication is crucial for collaborating with team members, influencers, and brand partners.

- Have you ever produced a short form piece of content with over 100,000 views? Please list relevant social media profiles that you own or have managed in the past.
- How many hours a week can you devote to this role? How many short form pieces of content would you feel comfortable producing on a weekly basis?
- Do you understand that this position will not be paid unless the business produces sales. Should you help the company produce revenue, we would love to continue to have you on the team. There also may be opportunities for gifts or bonuses for producing videos with high view counts that drive in sales. At a minimum, you will receive a reference for your work and the experience of working with a content creation team.
