Business development, Marketing and Communications team
The business development, marketing and communications team is integral to the setting and achievement of the firm’s global client strategy, which includes guiding the partners and associates in their pursuit of becoming the clients’ trusted advisers, building and maintaining long-lasting, deep institutional client relationships, winning new clients, increasing the visibility of the firm globally, and positioning the firm as the thought leader and most advanced law firm among the global elite law firms. The function works as one team across the globe with very close collaboration between the central groups, such as communications, and the professionals working in local offices, practice groups, sectors and clients.
What you will do
As a Social Media Content Specialist you will be responsible for posting to the firm’s social media channels, monitoring and analysing activity, and providing advice, support to partners and employees. This will include:
Content
Turning business content into dynamic and engaging social media posts
Supporting on the global social media calendar for LinkedIn and Twitter
Collaborating with the digital marketing workflow team to vet incoming post requests from across the business
Working with the content and campaigns team to support on major campaigns
Liaising with the creative team to oversee design of social media assets
Working collaboratively with the wider marketing and communications team to advise on and support the delivery of campaigns to support key client and business (including Responsible Business) campaigns
Providing advice to the business to ensure content is optimised and identifies opportunities to repurpose and re-tweet content
Channels
Posting on the firm’s main social media channels including LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and other relevant channels (approx. 1-5 posts per day)
Overseeing impromptu reporting requests from the business, and overseeing ongoing weekly and monthly paid and organic social reporting
Monitoring, auditing and analysing the success of our social media content
Assisting the social media team with the day to day management of Haiilo, our employee advocacy platform
Paid campaigns
Supporting on paid social campaigns (LinkedIn and Twitter), particularly sponsored ongoing static content campaigns (approx. 1-3 per week)
Work with recruitment teams to utilise paid campaigns to bolster recruitment activity
Measurement and evaluation
Using analytics to determine efficacy and areas for social media campaign improvement
Monitoring and developing reports on competitor activity within social media spaces
What you will have
Degree-level qualification in marketing communications, media relations or related discipline, or substantial equivalent experience
Excellent ability to write in English, translating complex material into easy to read promotional copy
Strong analytical skills and a very high attention to detail
Minimum of two years’ experience in an agency or fast-paced business environment
Proven experience managing organic and paid social media as part of an integrated marketing approach
Experience working with social media monitoring and analytical tools
Ability to keep calm under pressure with the capability to juggle tasks to meet deadlines
Good interpersonal skills, able to confidently interact with all levels and across cultures
This role is based in the A&O Belfast office, with an onsite presence required in line with our hybrid working policy.
