If so, a unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Children's Integrated Therapies team in North and North West Oxfordshire as a Band 4 therapy Assistant. The base will be either Witney Community Hospital or Orchard Health Centre in Banbury and will discussed on an individual basis.
The Children's Integrated Therapy Team visit children in their homes/ schools or in clinic settings with the purpose of providing holistic support/ therapy/ play to children and families with support from the Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech and Language Therapy team. The post holder will be part of the Children’s Integrated Therapy team, supporting the provision of specialist Occupational, Physical and Speech and language therapy for children and young people with a range of needs including complex disability. They will have responsibility for a designated caseload, a trained and supported practitioner providing and adapting therapy programmes to meet the needs of the child in a range of settings including patient’s own homes, clinics and schools.
They will have regular access to the supervision by a qualified Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist and Speech & Language Therapist. They will work with the Local Therapy teams to ensure an efficient, high quality therapy service is delivered which is evidence-based and centred around the needs of the child/young person.
They will work jointly with other members of the multi-disciplinary team including parents, carers and teaching staff in schools. They will be part of the team who deliver the EHP recommended provision.
