The Opportunity
We are seeking a temporary, full-time Copywriter / Content Marketing Specialist to fill a maternity-leave position for 14 months. The successful candidate will be well versed in SEO, have serious copywriting and social media chops, can write and design lead-generating content, coordinate webinars, and be a self-starter who is able to work autonomously.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for educating, raising brand awareness, and driving traffic through content. The ideal candidate is a prolific writer with experience in digital content creation, copywriting, editing, corporate communications, public relations, and blogging. Experience with technology and B2B/enterprise SaaS is strongly preferred.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the full content cycle, which includes ideation, keyword research, content planning, content creation, and publishing.
This role will also include:
Content Strategy & Content Creation/Copywriting
- Manage and execute the organization’s search engine optimization (SEO) strategy
- Execute periodic keyword research, content gap analysis, on-page optimization, etc.
- Build out and manage the editorial content calendar and strategy
- Write and design solution and value driven content, such as weekly blog posts, case studies, whitepapers & guides, thought leadership pieces, social media content, website copy, sales collateral, email campaigns, customer communications, ad copy, etc.
- Maintain our brand standards and develop digital and print collateral that aligns with our visual identity and positioning.
- Plan, host, and market a thought leadership webinar each quarter
- Work with the Director of Sales & Marketing in our efforts to build out our email automation program
- Research trends and new marketing opportunities and brainstorm ideas
- Create and maintain reports on content-related activities, effectiveness, and business impact
Website & Social Media Management
- Perform periodic SEO audit and optimization for our website and blog to ensure continuous growth in organic search and keyword rankings
- Ensure the website content is up-to-date and maintaining functionality and optimal user experience
- Create and design social content for LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc, to increase brand awareness and traffic
- Manage our YouTube Channel and coordinate with the professional services team to expand our library of online training videos
- Create and run monthly paid social campaigns across LinkedIn and Facebook to generate leads and awareness
What You’ll Need:
Qualifications (Must-haves)
- 2+ years of proven experience in content marketing, ideally in the B2B space, with results you can summarize
- Strong editorial skills with the ability to create effective copy across a broad range of marketing channels and formats that drives conversions
- A thorough understanding of all areas of SEO, with a strong emphasis on content marketing
- Experience with social media platforms and campaign management
- Graphic design skills and experience in designing content marketing collateral is a must
- Experienced in using tools such like Ahrefs, Canva, Wix, Google Analytics, Google Search Console and have some experience using marketing automation platforms
- Proven experience in communicating complex concepts in a simple and concise manner
- A can-do attitude and flexibility in responding to changing requirements and priorities
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or related field
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with B2B SaaS (Enterprise SaaS is a huge plus!)
- 3-5 years of experience in content writing for B2B software/technology products
- Experience in hosting and marketing webinars
