Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, the Content and Social Media Manager will lead the content and organic social media strategy for donaldrussell.com and provide support to our trade business to maximise our trade relationships.
Remote with some occasional travel to Inverurie, hybrid or office based working arrangements are all possible.
- Manage all content and social channels - translating our annual calendar into a content and social media strategy - creating and implementing a plan which reflect Donald Russell’s brand values across Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, Linkedin, blog as appropriate to drive organic engagement metrics, conversions, and revenue.
- Create multi-media content which reflects our brand and food values, tells our story, and gives the customer reasons to buy to drive awareness, engagement, and conversion KPIs.
- Working with our butchery and Head Chef to ensure all content is accurate and ensuring all content is proofread, approved and of the highest quality.
- Support the Marketing Manager in bringing our annual calendar of fortnightly campaigns to life with engaging written content and storytelling.
- Continual review and improvement of the marketing content across Donald Russell’s marketing channels, including ownership of our product and brand content library, ensuring product descriptions are engaging, compelling and accurate and evokes action across our touchpoints.
- Consider and deploy all potential content, partnership and social media strategies including maximising trade relationships and influencer marketing opportunities.
- Responsible for award and accreditations calendar and all submissions.
- Analyse, review and report on social media performance and actively monitor benchmarks to provide actionable insights and improvements for future development.
- Achieve and report on content and social media KPIs as set by the Digital Marketing Manager including engagement, CTR, reach, traffic, conversion and revenue from content and organic social activities.
- Keep up to date with innovations in content, social media marketing and food retail to identify opportunities to improve.

Must have:
- Educated in marketing, digital media or other equivalent/relevant areas – plus a minimum 5 years’ experience in content marketing manager or social media marketing manager role preferably in an ecommerce / FMCG business.
- Strong project management experience with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects with competing deadlines at the same time.
- Proficient in tools and systems to aid the creation and management of marketing content, e.g. Abode Creative Cloud, Photoshop, Canva, Hootsuite, Meta, Linkedin, TikTok and video editing software.
- Reporting and analytical skills with experience of Google Analytics.
- A track record in driving commercial growth and achieving business KPIs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
