As a Consultant in the team, your role will involve:

  • Leading the design of artefacts, and work with technical teams to implement them in the client’s organisation
  • Understanding how the system fits into the organisations wider objectives by asking why and how
  • Defining the essential functionality for a system early in its lifecycle
  • Helping clients to harness innovation to deliver solutions to their challenges
  • Becoming the technical lynchpin between engineering, testing, and architecture
  • Liaising with team within the Firm to ensure the effective application of the subject matter expertise available, and a seamless client experience

As your role progresses, you will be:

  • Managing, maintaining and growing strong relationships with clients and software vendors/suppliers
  • Leading and developing junior talent to become future leaders within our team
  • Optionally, you may choose to become a technology specialist, becoming a subject matter expert covering design, delivery and support

Willing and eligible to apply and obtain UK security clearance to Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV) level, if not holding an existing clearance

Essential:

  • Demonstrate a high degree of problem-solving skills, structured thinking and the ability to break down complex issues
  • Experience in a System Engineering role and with experience in managing functional and non-functional requirements
  • Demonstratable high levels of knowledge in Systems Engineering methodologies
  • Experience in building and maintaining stakeholder/client relationships
  • Demonstrate high organisational skills and a methodical approach to problem solving
  • Demonstrate the ability to think creatively and innovatively with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate and translate effectively between key business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Demonstrable experience in using tools (JIRA / confluence / Project / Excel) to manage designs and requirements

Desirable:

  • Professional qualifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Systems Engineering Professional
  • Holding Chartered Engineer status
  • Experience of developing solution and logical architectures
  • Experience of developing testing and evaluation pipelines, including user testing and experimentation
  • Experience of working within Defence & Security environments
  • Experience of data governance and policy development

Personal independence
