An exciting opportunity to work with the clinical and forensic psychology service at Rampton Hospital. The post holder will work with a team of 6 assistant psychologists to focus on cultural growth, change and development in the hospital. They will work with MDT teams and alongside existing initiatives to impact on a range of core cultural outcomes aimed at improving the patient experience:
1. Reducing restrictive practice
2. Increasing patient involvement
3. Developing staff understanding of and responsivity to EDI, trauma issues and general psychological mindedness
4. Shaping trauma and diversity informed reflective practice/supervision across the hospital

The post holder will work along with the culture development project oversight group (CDPOG) to identify measurable objectives, based on these core areas of working. These will then be used to evaluate the work and feedback to senior management and commissioners.

The post holder will be supported by CDPOG, Head of Psychology and the psychology service, Head of Nursing, Therapies and Education Services (TES), Social Work, Responsible Clinicians, Senior Management Team, and the operational managers in each of the services within the hospital

The post holder will be a member of the consultant psychologist’s team at Rampton hospital and contribute towards overall hospital strategy.

To provide strategic oversight for the Culture Development Project in Rampton Hospital. This will involve developing and overseeing the project in conjunction with the senior management group.

To manage, support, supervise and oversee a team of 6 assistant psychologists in implementing the strategy across the hospital.

To communicate with Rampton hospital and relevant stakeholders about the progress of the work.

To involve service users in the project.

To set up and maintain appropriate governance framework for the project by establishing objectives and key deliverables and feeding back to Rampton Hospital Management.

To evaluate the project.

To present and share the outcomes of the work in relevant professional forums.

1. To manage, provide supervision for and support the CDP team of 6 assistant psychologists
2. To strategically develop and oversee the project. To lead on strategic planning and business development within the culture project.
3. To communicate and consult to the senior management team in relation to the CDP work
4. To communicate about the work of the project outside the hospital
5. To link in with existing projects within the hospital
6. To link in with the psychology service at Rampton to ensure that work of the project dovetails with other initiatives within the hospital
7. To provide specialist psychological advice, guidance, consultation, training and supervision to other multi-disciplinary professionals, qualified psychologists, assistant psychologists, and trainee psychologists.
8. Demonstrating leadership values.
9. Representing project with external stakeholders
10. To identify key deliverables jointly with stakeholders.
11. To provide ongoing governance and evaluation of the project and feedback on key deliverables to senior management as required
