About us:
St Andrew’s is a not for profit Charity - we have no shareholders and any surplus we make is ploughed straight back into our services. We are part of the Specialist Provider Collaboratives in the East and West Midlands and are a member of the East Midlands Alliance. Our services in Northampton, set in 150 plus acres of woodland greenery are spread across 5 Divisions – Medium Secure, Low Secure and Specialist Rehabilitation, Learning Disability and Autism, Neuropsychiatry and CAMHS. We have a number of unique specialist national services including our Deaf Forensic Service, Huntington’s Service, Secure Brain Injury Service, Older Adults Secure Services, Blended Women’s Service (one of 3 National Pilots) and a specialist inpatient DBT service.
Joining St Andrew’s Healthcare is the ideal way to take your career forward, within Europe’s largest and most comprehensive secure mental health service. Throughout our 180-year history, we’ve worked at the forefront of our field.
The role:
Having opened Fitzroy House, our 110 bed purpose built unit, this is an excellent time to bring your expertise to our world class team. We want you to help shape the future of innovative holistic services based around specialised patient pathways.
We are currently transforming the Charity and are introducing Integrated Practice Units (IPUs) as the vehicle to deliver ‘Value Based Healthcare’. This will ensure our individualised support to young people is focused on rehabilitation, recovery and community integration or the identification of the most appropriate next placement to meet their needs.
Leading a multi-disciplinary team, you will help to develop services for young people with complex mental and behavioural disorders - through strategic decision making and major development projects. Promoting improvement and innovation, you will be a positive force for change and can lead in the future direction of national projects. You may also be able to undertake research as part of St Andrew’s commitment to innovation and world class care.
You will have proven clinical experience in child and adolescent care, be MRCPysch qualified or equivalent and hold a CCT in either Child and Adolescent or Forensic psychiatry.
