Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist / Consultant Clinical Psychologist working across two neighbouring units
Daniel Yorath House – Leeds (4 days) and Osman House – Leeds (1 day) Subject to agreed contracted hours.
Salary - £70,417 - £89,974 DOE plus £6,000 Golden Hello Bonus (terms and conditions apply)
Up to 35 hours per week
About The Role
You would take a lead role in ensuring the planning and development of innovative clinical services, supporting, and advising clinicians and our interdisciplinary team. We are looking for a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist / Consultant Clinical Psychologist to join the team in our highly regarded service at Daniel Yorath House. Daniel Yorath House is a unit in Garforth - Leeds providing rehabilitation to people with acquired brain injury. You will also provide oversight at our neighbouring unit, Osman House in Leeds.
This post is required to further develop our holistic neuro-behavioural services in line with changing clinical and commissioning needs at Daniel Yorath House. This post holder will develop leadership and clinical skills in working with governance and operational management to support development of our clinical MDT team. Significant clinical neuroscience/neuro-rehabilitation experience and expertise is required with good team and leadership skills.
You would also join our Clinical Executive, an international team of clinicians, who are involved in research and new projects; they share their knowledge and provide support to fellow members, working together to ensure BIRT's services remain excellent and innovative.

The duties and responsibilities of this role include: (But not limited to)
- Providing strategic professional leadership to the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust within the service, ensuring the planning and development of a systematic response to service need, interpreting professional policies and ensuring that the service operates at the highest level of quality and current best practice, with research and development a major responsibility and taking a major role in the development and implementation of policy for the service system as a whole.
- Ensuring the development of high quality, innovative, and evidence based neuro-psychological rehabilitation practice within the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust.
- Providing clinical services at a high level of expertise, supporting and advising colleagues on all issues concerned with neuro-psychological clinical practice and providing expert clinical consultation and professional guidance to clinical neuro-psychologists, clinical psychologists and other clinicians within BIRT.
About You
Post-graduate doctorate in clinical psychology (or its equivalent) accredited by the BPS.
- Qualification as Practitioner Full Member of the BPS QICN qualification in Neuropsychology; or within 12 months of completion of Qualification; or substantial experience as a Clinical Psychologist working in Neuropsychology
- Registered as a clinical psychologist with HCPC
- Any other relevant advanced specialist training/qualifications in the skills relevant to the specialty area judged to meet the BPS standards for Consultant grade by National External Assessment.
- Clinical supervision training for Doctoral trainees.
- Breakaway training or equivalent.
