The Role
We are looking for a dynamic and ambitious Consultant to join our Inclusive Growth and Climate Change practice.
You will be joining a team who are passionate about having a positive impact on people and the planet through the support we provide clients to use evidence. Your role will involve the technical delivery of our monitoring, evaluation and learning projects and supporting business development activities to continue to grow our portfolio.
You will have the opportunity to work across the portfolio relevant to your experience and interests. You will contribute to the successful delivery and management of projects, build and own relationships with key client stakeholders, contribute to business development activities, share learning through knowledge products and, where possible, external conferences and events, and be a part of maintaining our excellent reputation with our external teams and clients.
The core technical strengths of all our consultants are focused around four key areas:
- Evidence Advocate: generating robust evidence and using this to support clients and shape global debates;
- Change Agent: supporting clients in reflecting, learning and managing change;
- Project Manager: contributing to and building high performing project teams that deliver quality and commercial targets;
- Trusted Advisor: building long term relationships with clients and partners that add value and deliver commercial success.
As an evidence advocate, you will use a range of data and analysis tools to produce evidence-based findings using a logical and structured approach.
As a change agent, you will effectively analyse and interpret data to support evidence-based discussions and use strong client-facing skills to support and inform key messages.
As a project manager, you will develop effective workplans and clearly communicate expectations and timelines to project teams, ensuring that team members have what they need, when they need it to meet their project roles.
As a trusted advisor, you will liaise with clients on specific projects, supporting their use of monitoring, evaluation and learning deliverables. You will contribute to bidding processes, developing bespoke proposals that meet (potential) client requirements.
About You
You will have experience within monitoring, evaluation and learning within at least one relevant thematic area covered by the practice.
Experience of working in a consultancy environment would be desirable, with experience across the full lifecycle from bidding to delivery and understand the commercial drivers that sit behind this both for the client and Itad.
