Agenda for Change Band 8d (£88,385 to £92,424)
plus Distant Islands Allowance £1,201

An exciting opportunity has arisen following the retirement of the previous incumbent, for an appropriately qualified and skilled individual to lead on the senior public health functions across the Western Isles.
We have a strong team of Public Health staff covering the range of Public Health practice. It is expected that the post will focus on child health and healthcare quality but it will also involve practice across all spheres of public health. The post will carry some line management responsibilities.
The Postholder will be expected to take part in the Health Protection Out of Hours On-call Rota (currently 1 in 6) on a whole time basis.
You will have Specialist Registration in Public Health, either through full GMC registration and inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register (Public Health) or be eligible for such inclusion within three months of the interview date; or are equivalently registered or expect to be included within three months of the interview date as a Public Health Specialist on the UK Public Health Register (UKPHR).
This post may be eligible for Tier 2 sponsorship if no suitable UK or EEA National is identified.
