About The Role

What You'll Do

You will be joining FTI Consulting's fast-growing, exciting and cross-sector Crisis team in the Strategic Communications segment, based in London.

The team regularly supports clients to prepare for and respond to strategic threats to their organisation - including cyber-security incidents, significant operational disruptions and high-profile reputational issues. The days are never dull.

You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of strategic crisis management and communications preparedness and response services for our clients. This will include:
  • Researching specific organisations, sectors and cross-cutting trends to inform our advice to clients.
  • Assessing crisis readiness and identifying improvements to plans, processes and organisational culture.
  • Designing and implementing reputation risk assessment and management processes.
  • Supporting the design and delivery of crisis training and exercises.
  • Joining cross-discipline teams to support clients' responses to live issues.
  • Advising on the development of reputation recovery strategies.
  • Contributing to business development activities - including proposals, thought leadership and setting up events.
How You'll Grow

As part of the Crisis team, you will:
  • Develop specialist crisis management and communications skills, building your understanding of what good practice crisis preparedness looks like and how to embed this in complex organisations.
  • Interact directly with senior leaders and clients, understanding how they operate under the pressure of crisis situations and techniques to manage this.
  • Be part of a growing service offering, with the opportunity to shape your role and the direction of the team to best support our clients.
  • Join international teams and collaborate with experts from across FTI - including cyber incident response and financial crime specialists.
  • Take part in business development and marketing initiatives, building your understanding of running a practice - including good financial management.
  • Work with our Graduate/Intern programmes to nurture and develop our pipeline of talent.

More broadly, we are committed to investing and supporting you in your professional development and we have developed a range of programs focused on fostering leadership, growth and development opportunities. We aim to promote continuous learning and individual skills development through on-the-job learning, self-guided professional development courses and certifications. You'll be assigned a dedicated coach to mentor, guide and support you through regular coaching sessions and serve as an advocate for your professional growth.

As you progress through your career at FTI Consulting, we offer tailored programs for critical professional milestones to ensure you are prepared and empowered to take on your next role.
