How you’ll contribute
The Senior Enterprise Application Solutions (EAS) Analyst is responsible for providing SAP and financial system advice to the user community to ensure efficient and effective user support and solution delivery. The Senior EAS Analyst holds extensive knowledge in at least one SAP Financial / Controlling module and with this knowledge is able to independently advance user requirements and department initiatives through the systems development lifecycle and EAS governance processes. This role is responsible for writing functional specifications, performing configuration, and thoroughly testing new and existing functionality. This role will have responsibility and ownership spanning the execution of production support to implementing system enhancements and system based projects, holding a lead role for multiple complex initiatives.
Support the S/4 Hana system landscape and ancillary applications. Handle system issues ranging in complexity from routine to advanced, including those pertaining to new business processes where precedent may not exist- Gather and perform detailed analysis of user requests and identify problems in SAP and SAP-delivered software changes to determine impact and recommend steps for resolution and/or implementation. Convert business needs into technical requirements
- Develop partnerships with business process owners and manage project activities with little need for general instruction. Leverage deep technical expertise and business process knowledge in specialized workstream to advance department & stakeholder goals
- Lead business process workstreams and projects to ensure proper definition, completion, and tracking of tasks, deliverables, and deadlines. Examples of system initiatives include core SAP configuration and design, S/4 Hana system upgrades, custom Fiori applications, interfaces, and reporting solutions
- Execute all aspects of the SDLC with high quality and demonstrated expertise in area of specialization including functional test authoring & execution, documenting business process design and technical specifications, training material construction and delivery, and production deployment and support
- Develop, maintain, and document system controls and control processes, process improvements, and financial/accounting related workflows. Influences team members and business partners to adopt leading practices in specialty area, with core SAP and also supplemental applications such as reporting & analytics
- Serve as trusted business partner in business process design in area of specialization, incorporating new or enhanced system functions to increase team efficiency. Present key initiatives within workstream responsibility to other team members and partners. Recognize cross-workstream impacts on projects and engages team members with respective expertise to collectively construct solutions

For this role you will need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in finance, accounting, computer science, business analytics or a related field
- 5+ years of hands-on SAP functional experience in the FI/CO area
- 2+ years of supporting and maintaining a live SAP environment
- Familiar with US GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Prior experience in accounting or business process solutions/consulting
- Proven ability to identify, focus, and own high priority tasks to manage delivery to project timelines
- Proven ability to develop strong personal relationships and work well in a team environment
- Ability to understand and incorporate comments and feedback during daily activities and meetings
- Ability to knowledge-share and effectively explain technical concepts in written form and via presentation
- Excellent time management skills including a strong ability to multi-task without compromising quality
- Self-starter with strong work ethic, ability to see tasks to completion
- Detail oriented and organized
- Excellent communication & documentation skills (verbal/written)
- SAP Certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including MS Project, Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
- SAP experience in life cciences and validated systems
- Experience with AP automation system such as ReadSoft, OpenText, or Ariba
- Experience with: SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP Datasphere, or other advanced analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Experience with the following SAP FI/CO modules: General Ledger, Project Systems, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Margin Analysis, Product Cost Controlling
