The RJ Media Group is seeking an energetic and creative Marketing Consultant to join our talented team of experts. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about developing effective marketing and can help local businesses understand the value of a multi channel approach to reach their business goals through traditional and digital marketing, events, branding, and much more.
Our Marketing Consultants develop their accounts and prospect for new opportunities by fostering and maintaining relationships with local and regional businesses. You will present and fulfill our full suite of advertising products and services. We provide everything from social media, targeted online display, video, connected TV, streaming radio, email marketing, SEO and SEM and advertising in all of our 9 community publications serving central Connecticut. We are committed and ready to help every business grow and prosper in today’s world!
Qualifications

Results-oriented individual who strategically pursues new business with energy and drive!
- Prior experience selling advertising/marketing is preferred.
Knowledge and understanding of online & digital marketing is a huge plus! - Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach.
- Strong track record of successful internal and external relationship management.
- Knowledge of advertising and promotion concepts normally acquired through the completion of a college degree in marketing, and 2-3 years of sales experience. A college degree in marketing, or the equivalent combination of knowledge and experience is preferred.
- Must be organized, have good verbal and written communication skills, intermediate math aptitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced competitive environment.
- Must have the demonstrated ability to negotiate, persuade, and drive new business.
- Ability to make sound and ethical decisions.
- Must be able to handle different and changing situations.
This position requires the ability to travel locally to visit customers. A valid driver's license and insured vehicle are required; or, if no driver's license, reliable and at-the-ready transportation.
