Pax Law is a client-centred, top-rated, and effective North Vancouver law firm. We are committed to providing high-quality legal services to support our clients in the most efficient manner possible. We help clients with business matters, civil litigation, criminal defence, family law, real estate conveyancing, wills drafting, estate law, and immigration and refugee law. Due to fast expansion, we are looking for two immigration consultants to join our team.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Certified as a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) issued by the CICC.
• Have a valid Licence for the IRB
• At least two year experience in Immigration case handling is an asset.
• Fluent in Chinese (Cantonese/ Mandarin) and Punjabi and/or Hindi, both in verbal and written communication, is required.
• In-depth knowledge of Canadian Immigration laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Strong ethical standards.
• Able to work independently
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and able to multitask.
• Strong time management skills
• Ideal Candidate candidate would have a proven track record of managing diverse and extensive client accounts and market share in the immigration consultancy field.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial consultations with clients to assess their immigration needs and goals.
• Assess client personal backgrounds, qualifications, skills, and credentials.
• Prepare, review and submit documents, forms, and supporting evidence; ensuring all documents are properly completed within the specific timelines.
• Drafting statement of purposes (SOP) and cover letters.
• Represent clients in legal proceedings or hearings related to their immigration matter, this includes but no limited to attending Detention Interviews, Refugee Hearings, and Border Flagpoling.
• Attending networking events
• Commit to three blog posts about Canadian immigration, in the language requirement a week, 500 words.
• Commit to a “Live Immigration Chat” in the language requirement, once a week for at least 30 minutes. Posted to our social media accounts.

Language Requirement:

• Chinese (Mandarin/ Cantonese) required; or
• Punjabi and/ or Hindi required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
