Consultant London, England

Egremont Group
Full Time London, England 42000 - 52000 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

Are you passionate about consulting and business transformation? Do you love working to help clients make the most of their strategy, structure, processes, and people to enable real change?

Are you excited for a chance to apply your consulting skills on projects that entrust you with more responsibility and greater direct exposure to stakeholders, with an incredibly supportive team behind you?

If you are a great collaborator, curious and eager to learn, and want to have real impact in a smaller business, we would love to hear from you.

About the role

An Egremont Consultant plays an incredibly diverse role. On client engagements, you will work directly alongside clients and within the team to proactively anticipate project needs, take ownership for specific tasks, and deliver the plan to ensure client deliverables are met.

You will utilise the key skills and qualities you have developed to date, to play an influential role in solving big problems. This means identifying hypotheses to test, drawing insights, and creating compelling stories to present back to senior client stakeholders and Egremont team members.

As an impactful team member, you will also contribute to internal improvement projects, as well as supporting others within the Egremont team by sharing knowledge with peers and more junior consultants.

Importantly, you will be able to proactively explore opportunities for self-development and improvements within your own development plan.

It's a role that can not only give you lots of responsibility but also fast track your career!

About you

We are looking for people who bring approximately 2 years' experience working in a consulting role, ideally with time spent in a large consulting environment. You don't need expertise in all our services, but experience working in strategy, operational improvement or people change will be required. In addition, we will ask you to demonstrate that you:

  • Have strong analytical and story-telling ability, underpinned by advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. You can ask the right questions and draw out insights from quantitative and qualitative data sets, but you know that data alone doesn't create the case for change.
  • Bring experience gathering, defining, and documenting business requirements and have owned the development of outputs as part of a workstream.
  • Are confident supporting the facilitation of workshops and liaising directly with client stakeholders to deliver high quality solutions and effectively manage expectations along the journey.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A real team player, dedicated to seeing the job through. Insatiably curious and creative, always looking for new solutions and alternative pathways.
  • Demonstrate alignment with our core values of Collaboration, Courage, Clarity, and Care.

What's in it for you?

We offer a low ego, high trust environment, with project freedom and a supportive team behind you. Our consultants come from all backgrounds, but we all share a belief that authenticity comes first, no hidden agendas and no putting on a front.

At Egremont, the opportunity to have a direct impact on both the business and client side will start from day 1. You will be able to work in a flat hierarchy format with the ability to be able to have a say in lots of different topics. Creative thinking, voicing your opinions and being able to ask lots of questions is encouraged in this enthusiastic team. Having high contact with both your peers and talented seniority will allow for a mixture fresh thinking and enhanced consultancy knowledge.

Flexible working is important to us, as is the wellbeing and happiness of our employees. You can often expect to be remote 1-2 days a week with the other days working alongside colleagues, mentors and exciting clients in person.

Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion

We think our people-focus is one of the things that makes us different and are committed to harnessing the range of views and backgrounds found within our business for the betterment of our work, and most importantly, each other. In your career with us, we take steps to ensure that your voice is heard and that your career path and trajectory is transparent and fair. Our B Corp working group regularly monitors our action plan to ensure we stay on track to create an equal, diverse, and inclusive culture.

Remuneration

£42,000-£52,000 annual salary (depending on experience) plus bonus up to 20% based on company performance.

We also offer a range of competitive benefits that include but are not limited to private medical insurance, life assurance, generous matched pension contribution, flexible wellbeing allowance, CSR leave, and 25 days' annual leave (exc. Public holidays), plus 3 days shutdown over Xmas.

Candidates must hold the current Right to Work (unrestricted; now or in the future) in the UK.

Please note that New Minds Resourcing Ltd are acting as our retained consultants for the recruitment of this role. All applications will be shared with both New Minds and Egremont Group.
