Specialists in the built environment lifecycle (design, construction, facilities management, and demolition) a key specialist sector is compliance around the retrofit of energy efficiency and low carbon technologies.
A “Brighter Business”
Working with primary contractors and their supply chains we have launched a ‘Brighter Business’ package that supports installers and contractors to get ready and embrace the growing market of Retrofit, PAS 2030/35/38 and MCS.
With a need to grow the UK supply chain so that it’s fit for purpose to meet the government’s net-zero targets there is a need for a solution that hand holds organisations/sole traders and their workforce to enter this market.
From process development through to people skills Brighter develop a bespoke service to aid the contractor/installer to help them on their way to growth within the sector.
The Role
The Retrofit Consultant will work with a project lead to deliver a range of services. This will include:
- Carry out organisation reviews with the project lead of where the current business is and it’s key goals!
- Identify where the gaps are within the organisation in order to reach the goals e.g., people’s competency, processes, capability around bidding for work and so on.
- Put in place a programme of support that will enable them to close the gaps identified as above.
- Support and deliver activities to support closing the gaps.
- Support on the implementation and uptake of systems such as GreenHub and ECOServ
- Support them through the PAS 2030/MCS/TrustMark assessments.
- Deliver technical evaluation and quality assessments to ensure they are maintaining quality.
The Individual
We are looking for an individual who has a background in retrofit and support Brighter on a technical aspect as well as have the cross-skill ability to deliver consultancy projects.
The successful candidate will:
- Have a recognised retrofit qualification such as
- Level 5 Retrofit Coordination (Desirable)
- Level 3 understanding Domestic Retrofit
- Level 3 Retrofit Assessor
- Worked within the Retrofit Industry for at least 3 years.
- Have an understanding of the various funding schemes (ECO4, Great British Insulation Scheme, SHDF)
- Able to demonstrate that they have delivered/supported on consultancy projects previously.
- Have a technical understanding of PAS 2030 measures and/or MCS technologies.
- Have an understanding of systems such as ECOServ or CoreLogic

Salary: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
