Principle role.
As a Tutor within Construction, you would be responsible for supporting participants to achieve their goals and reviewing progress. To provide a learning and employability framework to learners, ensuring the attainment of positive outcomes through the delivery of classroom and vocational assessment and training. Training and assessment of learners would include following a Scheme of Work at a workshop located in Merthyr Tydfil.
- Develop creative lesson plans incorporating differentiated teaching styles and activities to ensure a quality learning experience
- Plan the learning and assessment process with learners and record and document assessments, supporting the learner in their individual learning journey
- Delivering training sessions using a variety of teaching methods to engage, support and motivate learners to enhance their skills and progression opportunities
- Provide focused support to learners with varied learning needs & requirements
- Work as part of a team to ensure a quality learner experience
Qualifications and Experience
- Occupational competence within Construction trade(s)
- IT literate, good administration and communication skills
- Proactive, engaging and approachable training style
- An understanding of barriers to employment and how to motivate change.
- Ability to converse in Welsh is desirable and the commitment to learn is essential
- Car owner/driver is essential.
The post holder will be required to complete an application for a Disclosure of Criminal Records, the cost paid for by the Company.
Salary starting point £23,000 pa depending on experience and qualifications with the potential to rise to £29,000 if the Assessor Award qualification is successfully achieved.
35 hour working week.
Generous package of 32 days annual leave entitlement.
Travel reimbursement at 45p per mile
