Acorn Safety Services is a successful Health, Safety and CDM consultancy. We service all business sectors specialising with construction.
Our services include health and safety consultancy services, CDM consultancy, construction site safety inspections, fire risk assessments and training.
The Health & Safety Consultant (Construction) role fits into the operations department of our Northampton office.
Our offices are located in Northampton at, 32 Chartergate, Quarry Park Close, Moulton Park, Northampton, NN3 6QB.

About you
A Construction Site Manager is required to oversee the construction phase from inception to completion
Experience of new build works and working within a variety of sectors is a distinct advantage as is a higher-than-average level of M&E knowledge.
SMSTS and CSCS up to date required
Overall knowledge of H&S
Previously looked after a large team of subcontractors
Enhanced DBS
Responsibilities -
Full responsibility for day-to-day site activities comprising of but not limited to: -
Implementation of and monitoring the application of the site management policy
Co-ordinate with Client site based and project employees
Manage review & acceptance of risk assessments & method statements for all onsite work activities, ensure RAMS register is updated
Review & accept Health & Safety, Quality & Environmental plans ensuring all staff follow accordingly
Attend and chair meeting for coordination of work activities across site
Coordinate with end customer project team(s)
To monitor and report the team(s) progress against the project programme.
About the job
Manage the day to day running of site including subcontractors, direct labour and materials
Overall responsibility for Health and Safety on site
Review and approval or RAMS
Liaison and co-ordination with client project team and client site operational team
Review and updates of programme progress, delays and RFI’s (in conjunction with PM / QS)
Monitoring and maintaining of quality of work
Assessing design details and potential issues and pro-actively seeking guidance or proposals to ensure problems are overcome in a swift and agreeable manner

Salary: Up to £350.00 per day
