At Saint-Gobain Interior Solutions we are looking for a Sustainable Construction Manager to support our sustainable construction strategy.

Being highly data driven, think of this role as more tactical than strategic; you’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills working for a worldwide leader in light and sustainable construction, whilst championing opportunities for innovation and providing guidance across sectors within the business.

You’ll provide insight on the construction market sectors in which we operate, supporting the commercial team, as well as playing a part in developing solutions and services to lead and differentiate in the market.

This role can be worked on a hybrid basis, with the freedom to be on site as and when you need; it’s highly advantageous for you to be within commutable distance of East Leake, given the relationships you’ll hold locally.

What we’re looking for:

• A technical or sustainability background is a must; a construction background is preferable, however other areas such as engineering or manufacturing could suit
• A passion for sustainability, backed up by either hands on experience in this or an environmental field, OR a relevant qualification (or working towards)
• Ability to analyse data, and then use that data, and turn it into tangible outcomes
• A persistent, communicative and collaborative approach

What you will be doing:

• Work closely with the sector, portfolio, technical and brand teams to provide research, analysis and support on sustainability
• Lead Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) data collection with plants and coordination with the LCA Team
• Support project teams to develop and implement sustainability initiatives
• Lead planning and coordinating teams to ensure continuity of our existing documents and certificates
• Utilise tools to analyse and compare carbon impact of our systems and model scenarios for improvement
