The Company

ONE Group is a renowned property development group with a track record of successfully completing and developing over 3 million square feet of projects internationally. Led by an award-winning entrepreneur, our company is known for its innovative and forward thinking approach in the property sector.

As part of our expansion in the United Kingdom, we have recently acquired two small sites in the North of England, specifically in Sheffield and Manchester. We specialize in sourcing and developing these sites through the planning, development, and construction process, and now we are looking to expand our footprint in the market.

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Development Manager who will be responsible for overseeing projects ranging from £1-£15 million. This role will involve various aspects, including site identification, project feasibility assessment, managing planning applications and lease agreements, maintaining relationships with project stakeholders and local authorities, acting as the clients representative and brand manager, and monitoring projects throughout the development process with a focus on cost, program, and quality variations.

This is initially a part-time role, but there is potential for it to transition into a full-time position in the near future.

The role can be based out of our Central London head office or be conducted remotely.

Responsibilities

● Early stage involvement in site selection

● Project feasibility and assessment

● Oversight of planning applications and lease agreements

● Manage relationships with project stakeholders, local authorities etc to insure smooth

progression of project milestones

● Act as clients representative and brand manager in all dealings with architects, designers, contractors etc

● Monitor projects at all stages of the development process with a particular focus on cost,

programme and quality variations

Requirements

The role will involve significant interaction with design/construction teams and is ideally suited to a construction, property or design orientated professional. Client side or development experience. A strong understanding of construction and cost management processes is essential.

● Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and previous experience in construction, property

development, or real estate management.

● Strong project management skills, overseeing multiple projects to ensure on-time and on budget delivery.

● Solid understanding of construction processes, building regulations, and cost management practices.

● Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to effectively engage with stakeholders, including local authorities, architects, contractors, and consultants.

● Problem-solving: Ability to identify and resolve project-related challenges, making informed decisions to keep projects on track and achieve successful outcomes.

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per year + bonuses

Bonuses on successful acquisitions and successfully delivering projects on time and on budget.
