Brilliant are currently recruiting for a leading design and manufacturing business supplying specialist structural building components and systems to the construction industry.

Our client has developed the CERTUS product. It is a leading non-combustible, durable brick slip façade system that has been developed and tested to exceed all current industry standards. It is an innovative and transformational answer to the traditional approach of building brick facades yielding productivity and site attendance benefits.

The role:

• Assuming control of all of the commercial functions within a new embryonic business.
• Responsibility for the costing, pricing and operational profitability of projects.
• Negotiating and agreeing contracts within the supply chain.
• Working closely with the technical team to deliver projects on time, in full and on budget.
• Working to build constructive relationships with clients and suppliers alike to create long term productive relationships.
• Recognising and filtering opportunities for optimising new business development.
• Coordinating bids to win new projects as well as working with existing clients to foster repeat business.
• Establish systems and processes to create a framework fit for purpose for a new and expanding business.
• Create a people architecture for forward expansion in line with the business requirements.
• Operate within the confines of company policies and procedures.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Construction Industry Project Knowledge
• Previous Commercial Management Experience
• Strong analytical skills
• Financially and commercially astute
• Communicative and able to work effectively in a small team
• Flexible approach to work and tasks
• Comfortable and familiar in working with IT systems
• Self-starter – Highly motivated and problem solver
• Ability to understand construction drawings and terminology is desired
• Facades sector experience is desired

• Monday - Friday 8am-5pm (with 1 hour lunch)
