Job description

THE ROLE - Part-time (30 hours per week) / Permanent / Job description and application pack (including details on our benefits) are available to download from our website

CLOSING DATE - 4 August 2023 at midnight. Please note we will be interviewing successful candidates on a rolling basis and as such may close the vacancy before the deadline

Worthing Foyer is one of our 24-hour supported accommodation projects; it houses 29 young people aged 16 to 25 for up to 2 years, offering high to medium support. As a service, we provide a safe and welcoming environment for young people, with their aspirations and desires always at the forefront of the support we offer. We encourage and empower young people to move forward positively, and to learn and achieve the independent skills they need to live positive and fulfilling lives.

In your role as a Support Project Worker you will support a caseload of young people or adults at risk, providing supported housing services and coaching them so they can articulate and achieve their aspirations, ambitions, and acquire the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives. A key focus will be to coach young people to manage their occupancy agreement and adhere to house rules, in preparation for independent living and promote a credit culture, encouraging young people to keep up to date with all payments for rent.

This role is on a rolling rota, working 4 days out of 7 days, consisting of two shifts 7am-3pm and 12pm-8pm, this includes weekends and bank holidays. There is a certain amount of lone working involved in this role, but you will get to know the team and project, along with extensive training prior to starting on a rota.

ABOUT YOU - We know that there are great candidates who will not fit everything described, or who have important skills we have not mentioned. If that is you, please do not hesitate to apply and tell us about yourself

You will be passionate about supporting young people to lead in independent lives, enjoy working in an exciting, fast-paced environment, have a sense of humour and the drive to deliver an outstanding service.
