Biosite Security Limited specialises in Construction site security and has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Security Operative to join our dynamic team.
This position is well suited to an individual that is looking to advance their career within the security industry and gain hands-on experience in customer service & security in a thriving and supportive site/company.
Based on site with our end customer, you will work closely with all areas of their company and ours, to secure the site and assist with the site team in ensuring overall site security is maintained. You will be helping the team at Biosite Security to achieve agreed targets and service level agreements. This exciting position offers the opportunity to progress into a bigger role such as joining our management team through our EPS.

Responsibilities
- Patrolling the site on assigned patrol routes, ensuring that the schedule is followed
- Fully adhering to working in line with our operational policies
- Completing check calls and book on/off calls with control room team
- Overseeing overall site security, hoarding, access gates and CCTV as required
- Lock and Unlock at the start and end of each shift
- Ensuring that a safe working system is maintained at all times and that you always work to your RAMS
- Complete shift log entries and incident reports as required
- Ensuring that site entrance and all vulnerable areas are regularly inspected and remain secure. - Preventing loitering from occurring at such areas
Requirements
- 1-2 years security experience in a similar company or construction site (A familiarity with construction environments is preferred)
- Knowledge of security is advantageous but not essential as all starters will be inducted and fully trained
- A good working understanding of relevant Health & Safety obligations and a commitment to maintaining best practices at work
- Proficient in operating simple web applications
- Excellent personal management skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Valid SIA licence
- Valid CSCS card preferred (or similar affiliate scheme)
- Must be able to reliably commute to the area around Bicester and should have own transportation.
Remuneration & Selection
Biosite Security has a great employee progression scheme which has seen several members of our site team be offered positions within management or the control room team. We initially offer an hourly rate of £10.50 for this position with a review after six months service.
We pay all staff on a PAYE basis and staff get paid at the end of the month. Due to our company policies and understanding of IR35 regulations, please do not apply if you are looking for self-employment opportunities.
