Kirklees Council are advertising this role on behalf of Boothroyd Primary Academy
Boothroyd Primary Academy is a rapidly improving school serving over 640 pupils from the local Dewsbury community and judged by OFSTED as a Good school with Outstanding features. “As a result of inclusive leadership, precise assessment and high-quality teaching, children make outstanding progress” (OFSTED Mar 2019).
We are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Administration Assistant to join our extremely busy school office.
You must be flexible in your approach to the wide range of duties the post entails. As one of the first points of contact for visitors and callers you must be able to represent the values of the school and ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a good sense of humour!
- Be willing to contribute towards the positive ethos of the school.
- Be able to prioritise work to meet conflicting deadlines.
- Be able to manage working at pace whilst receiving constant interruptions throughout the day.
- Be motivated, enthusiastic and be able to work with and support a diverse range of people, working under direction and on your own initiative.
- Be able to maintain accurate records and to track the progress of your own work.
- Undertake various administration duties: including inputting of attendance data, managing out of school clubs, administration of prescribed pupil medication, preparing routine correspondence, liaising with and supporting staff, parents and teachers.
- Be IT literate and able to use a variety of software packages, including the school’s Management Information System (Integris), Microsoft Word and Excel.
