Kelsey Paving Ltd is a small business in Edmonton, AB. We are professional, agile, and our goal is to Established in 1986, Kelsey Paving Ltd. was created by Kelsey’s father. With over 50 years’ experience, Kelsey’s father passed down his knowledge and eventually the business to Kelsey. He stays involved with the business as a consultant and most importantly a mentor. Currently, the company maintains a staff of around 10 employees and can accommodate jobs of any size. Since Kelsey Ltd. is owner operated, Kelsey is always on the worksite and available for clients and employees. Kelsey Paving is looking to hire a labourer/raker for our paving crew. We are a progressive, growing company that has operated in the Edmonton area for 50 years.
Qualifications:
- Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Experience in paving or road construction is beneficial
- Safety and construction certifications, and other related training is beneficial
Requirements:
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to take direction and requests from supervisors
- Knowledge of all paving equipment and paving processes - beneficial but not required
- Physical strength and coordination
- Safety focused: ability to work safety and stay alert at all times
- Ability to pass drug, alcohol and fitness testing
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Mechanically inclined is beneficial
Responsibilities:
- General labour and assisting with job site and project demands
- Perform daily safety requirements and reporting
- Participate in jobsite and safety meetings, and all company related training
- Must work productively, quickly and safely to meet project deadlines as indicated by the Field Supervisor or Project Manager
- May be required to operate trucks to transport equipment to and from production sites - if applicable
- Must maintain a courteous and professional manner with supervisors, co-workers, customers, and the public at all times
- Other paving and seasonal required duties
MUST have good work ethic, teamwork skills, and safety focused.
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Salary: From $22.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
Supplemental pay types:
- Overtime pay
