It is an incredibly exciting time to be joining us. If you are passionate about the environment, conservation and tackling biodiversity loss you couldn’t be in a better place!

We are looking for someone with the skills, knowledge and experience to co-deliver vital conservation action towards BC’s 2021-2026 strategy across Northern England. Through partnership working, you’ll be responsible for delivering both our threatened species and landscapes programmes, and overseeing management of our nature reserves in Northern England.

This is a varied and active role and you’ll need a good understanding of the ecology of butterflies and moths, experience of delivering landscape scale projects, and knowledge habitat management and species monitoring techniques. You’ll have experience of working in partnerships and will be adept at engaging with a wide range of people including volunteers, land managers, government agencies and others.

You will become part of our Conservation team in England and will be able to draw upon the expertise of staff and branches across the UK. A full driving license, access to a car and business insurance is essential for this role due to the remote nature of some of our sites.
