Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Conservation and Museums Advisory Service (CMAS), based at the Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre working 18.5 hours per week for up to 12 months.

CMAS gives advice and provides commercialconservation services to museums and heritage organisations in Wiltshire and further afield.
About the role
This is a key role that supports the work of the CMAS. The Conservation Assistant provides administration support, helps to build relationships with museums and clients, and carry out tasks such as photography, x-raying and preservation box-making for historic items.
You will provide business support and act as the first point of contact for telephone enquiries for the centre.
Full training will be given for all specialist tasks.
About you
We are looking for someone with great organisation skills and a good eye for detail.
You will enjoy working as a part of a team, be an effective communicator and be good at building relationships with colleagues, contacts and members of the public.
While you may not have experience of working in the sector, you will have an interest in heritage and be willing to learn new skills.
Interviews will be held on Wednesday 1st March 2023.
Where possible interviews are virtual, but due to the nature of this role interviews will be in person. Current public health advice is followed for candidate and employee safety.
