Isebrook School is a successful specialist setting for students aged 11-18 with a broad spectrum of special educational needs and learning disabilities.

We are seeking to recruit a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a student in our Connected Provision. The student has significant cognition and learning difficulties as well as SEMH needs. Through the eyes of the student we are looking for someone who has the following:

  • Patience and Resilience - I can at times become frustrated with those around me or the environment I am working in
  • Someone who will understand me – I sometimes need time and space to walk or to be reflective.
  • To build a relationship with me – I can be quiet around new people and need time to get to know them, so some fun activities to do with me so that I can get to know you and see how fun you are.
  • I would like someone to be helpful, kind, caring and supportive when I am finding things challenging.
  • You would need to like dogs because I love spending time with the school dog, Teddy.

As a school we are committed to providing high quality education and support for all our students.

Candidates with suitable experience, motivation and commitment are invited to apply for this role.

Are you:

  • Positive and passionate about working with students with learning disabilities
  • A team player who can work as part of the multi-disciplinary team
  • A reflective practitioner
  • Able to motivate and lead by example
