PCTECH, one of the longest serving computer companies in the Lower Mainland, seeks a highly motivated and professional Onsite Computer Technician.
POSITION MANDATE
This position will be responsible for basic onsite & depot troubleshooting, installing, deploying and upgrading of computer hardware and software, basic networking peripherals, kiosks, digital displays, etc.. Additional training will be provided for the chosen candidate.

POSITION FUNCTIONS
Primary Job Function
· Answer technical support calls and use online support software to assist new and existing customers in a professional manner.
· Provide professional onsite & depot technical service to a range of computer problems including...
· Virus & spyware removal, data/application and operating system overhaul and recovery services, resolve internet & email difficulties and diagnose & replace defective hardware components.
· Provide support to mainly Windows based system, however, some Apple product knowledge is helpful.
· Document and Complete Service Reports in a timely manner.
· Not all duties listed are necessarily performed and other related duties may also be assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Technical Skills, additional training provided.
· A+ Certification or similar and at least one year of related experience, is helpful.

· Microsoft Windows OS, Mac knowledge is a bonus.
· Desktop Applications (Basic understanding of MS Office, O365, Email, Virus & Spyware removal tools, etc.)
· Basic Networking and Wireless connectivity background.

· Ability to diffuse tense customer situations and project a professional and confident outlook.

· Be available for regular work assignments during normal business hours and evenings & weekends in case of emergency.
