Our insurance business incorporates our UK and EEA based authorised and regulated insurers, and for Travel Insurance a full claims administration and assistance business. Our Multi-Lines business, covering a whole range of specialty / ancillary, add-on and niche personal lines products has had significant double digit percentage growth year on year in the last 3 years and expects to continue in this vein. You would be an important part of this ongoing success story.
Role purpose:
Our Insurance Commercial team, is responsible for winning, managing and developing B2B relationships. The current portfolio spans Broker, Insurer, Financial Services and Affinity business and contributes significant annual premiums. Partnerships are a vital part of Collinson Group’s strategy of delivering both scale and profitable returns.
You will work with the Account Management, Underwriting and Pricing Teams to ensure delivery of our responsibilities in terms of Consumer Duty, Customer Value and Product Governance, to ensure that consumers' best interests are always at the heart of the products we provide.
You will work with our Partners to ensure their adherence to the required procedures, processes, systems and controls as may be required to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and, where appropriate, market best practices and ensure our oversight of such.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Head of Multi-Lines to ensure the business unit is compliant in respect of New product development and Existing product changes.
- Ensure new partners are successfully implemented and are delivering on all regulatory requirements.
- Lead the Product Review process within Multi - Lines, ensuring fair value assessments are completed.
- Work with functional teams to produce monthly reports on all areas of partner activity, aligning these to business plans and priorities and ensuring awareness of partner KPIs against forecast.
- Work with compliance and other teams to ensure we have the appropriate oversight of our partners and their distribution chain.
- Ensure all Product Governance activities within Multi-Lines are carried out with appropriate consideration given to the customer, and the Consumer Duty requirements.
- Attend relevant committee meetings (UPGC/CCCC) as required.
- Provide reports and analysis as required.
Experience required:
The ideal candidate will be expected to have first-hand experience in front-line UK Insurance compliance and be knowledgeable and experienced in areas such as ICOBs, PROD and Consumer Duty.
You will also have the following:
- A good understanding of regulatory compliance rules and their relevant guidelines from an operational perspective
- Previous experience within a first or second-line compliance role
- Proven investigation and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience in partner onboarding is preferable
- Is able to work in a scaling environment where things never stand still
- Previous experience in partner onboarding preferable
Other Key Skills:
- Technical expertise in FCA and GI regulations.
- Excellent communications skills and proven ability to work under tight deadlines
- Proficient using MS office suite
- Diplomatic and persuasive , able to build objective lines of rationale for action and present viewpoints assertively.
