Compliance Officer for Legal Practice Remote
Job description
Central London Law firm seeking a COLP for immediate start. You must be a qualified (SRA registered) lawyer with the necessary credentials to carry out a COLP role. Your role will involve the following:
(a) ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of the firm’s authorisation;
(b) ensure compliance by the firm and its managers (and employees) with SRA regulatory arrangements which apply to them;
(c) ensure that the firm's managers and those the firm employs or contract with do not cause or substantially contribute to a breach of the SRA's regulatory arrangements;
Other Responsibilities include:
Maintain records of compliance and any regulatory failures
Carry out risk assessment and prepare risk register
Design and keep up to date Client acceptance procedures
Conflicts procedures
Client care (including complaints procedure)
Keep up to date firm’s standard client care letter (a.k.a. engagement letter)
Keep up to date firm’s standard terms of business
This role will be predominantly working remotely

Salary: From £18,000.00 per year
