You and Your Team:
We are seeking an experienced Compliance Advice Manager to join us at Vanquis Banking Group.
Reporting to the Senior Compliance Advice Manager, you will provide regulatory and conduct advice to all business functions across Vanquis Banking Group to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and good customer outcomes.
In your day-to-day role as a Compliance Advice Manager, you will:
- Assess and advise on the impact of regulations on business policies, processes and procedures, change programmes and customer facing material taking into account FCA and PRA rules, regulations and guidelines.
- Review regulatory and conduct risk events, providing advice/guidance and assisting the business with developing action plans where there is regulatory or customer impact, including remediation
- Review and input on Committee papers
- Ensure that all appropriate marketing materials, outputs, media and documentation produced by the business are approved as complying with the regulatory requirements
- Provide coaching and training to stakeholders within the business in order to upskill them on regulatory requirements and what good customer outcomes look like
- Inform the Senior Compliance Advice Manager/HOF of Regulatory breaches and/or notification events
- Represent Compliance Advice on change projects and at senior management team meetings to ensure regulatory requirements are identified, understood and addressed and that any regulatory and conduct risks are adequately mitigated
What you will bring to the team:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal used to direct, persuade and influence others, including articulating complex regulation and risk in a clear manner and writing reports to escalate issues and risks where necessary
- The ability to assimilate and make sense of new information quickly, recognising when further guidance is required
- Flexibility and good time management skills will also be required to spread your time between BAU compliance advice, project work and personal development, often working to tight deadlines
- Ability to be a credible face of compliance both internally and externally
- Experience of working in a FCA regulated firm is essential
- PC literacy in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
