Compliance Officer
Permanent
Based in Crawley (hybrid & flexible hours)
Up to £28,000 - £32,000 per annum

Tony Alan Recruitment currently has an exciting job opportunity for a Compliance Officer to join a fast-paced, growing business in the Crawley area on a permanent basis.
Your duties will include:
- Build relationships with key personnel and within designated partnership firms
- Be responsible for on-boarding new partnership firms under the businesses regulatory supervision
- This includes assisting with the assessment of client risk and business model, and ensuring appropriate due diligence is completed
- Create, agree, manage and maintain a compliance monitoring plan for the oversight of the partnership firms to reduce risk for customers
- Analyse data and company performance to assess improvement and deliver those improvements through the compliance monitoring plan
- Manage oversight of the partnerships using REG Technologies system
- Conduct annual onsite audits to review their processes, assess outcomes, and feedback and track any identified actions
- Performing due diligence tasks such as reviewing financial statements, regulatory checks, systems and control analysis, adverse media checks and reviewing business models
- Collate management information to provide feedback on performance and risk, reporting this to the business
- Take responsibility for identifying and escalating issues relating to the partnership’s network or processes and recommending appropriate solutions
- Support Compliance Team in ensuring training tasks for the partnerships are assigned and completed throughout the year
- Maintain internal policies and processes
- Support both the Compliance Team and the Partnership Team in ad-hoc tasks to assist in compliance with FCA regulations
Key requirements:
- 2 years plus experience of working in compliance within the financial services sector (preferably within insurance or fin-tech)
- Knowledge of the FCA compliance requirements and standards
- Great analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems
- High degree of organisation and an ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
- Exhibit sound business judgement, proven ability to influence others, and a track record of taking ownership and influencing results
- Competent user across full Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with producing MI and reporting to senior management
- Excellent communicator, confident to challenge constructively at a senior level
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner, with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing both internal and external stakeholders
