About the opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Compliance Officer to join our QA Team based at our Customer Support Centre in Walsall.
Reporting to the QA Manager, the Compliance Officer is involved in ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulations. The Compliance Officer needs to keep up to date with any legislation changes across General Merchandise, Health and Beauty and Food.
The mission is helping the company's stakeholders to comply and strategically aware of ongoing changes. Proactively communicating to cross functional teams to manage changes to ensure 100% compliance.
The role is based at our Customer Support Centre (CSC) in Walsall, with the ability to work agile between 'home' and the CSC.
This role comes with the ability to study for an apprenticeship qualification.

What you'll be doing...
The Compliance Officer will also ensure, Policies and Procedures are regularly reviewed and updated to ensure our product quality is maintained and our suppliers understand our requirements
Reference point for product translations, labelling and registrations relating to Dealz stores
Product Registrations to be completed in line with legal requirements. (CPNP)
Data capture and reporting
- Plastic Packaging Tax
- EPR
- WEEE / Batteries
Maintain License agreement when required
Driving awareness of product quality, consumer safety, labelling and packaging compliance
Communication of product quality and safety performance to technologists
Work with technologists and support product supplier approval
Support Own Brand NPD, with right first-time ethic, for product launches & artwork approval
Work with suppliers, trading teams and warehouse colleagues and find solutions to reduce store stock delivery errors, upward complaint trends and spikes in complaints
Support effective co-ordination of product withdrawals / recalls ensuring customer safety and no compromise to brand reputation
