Reports to: Sr. Manager, Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC)
Purpose of the Role The Data Security and Privacy Specialist shall lead an executive sponsored project to migrate, consolidate and transform LifeLabs cloud and on-premise content. The specialist will craft a vision and success criteria for the deployment and migration. The specialist will be responsible for the strategy and change management process designed around business needs and privacy and security requirements.
This is a full time remote position based in Ontario.
Core Accountabilities
- Taking inputs from relevant Stakeholders i.e. CISO and Senior Members of the Information Security team
- Develop a deep understanding of the Organization
- Understand the needs and expectations of relevant stakeholders and business units
- Perform a discovery assessment to find where the content lives with owners
- Analyze content and determine relevance for content
- Determine the scope of the data migration project
- Obtain documented plans from relevant Point of Contact (PoC) from each business unit
- Ensure the solution meets the functional, privacy and security requirements
- Work closely with the GRC team and other stakeholders to perform required assessment
- Provide expert-level SharePoint Online solution design, development and related workflow automation solutions, implementation, maintenance, and support
- Develop a clear roadmap and optimal plan for the data migration
- Prepare and deliver periodic progress reports to CISO, CIO and Stakeholders
- Continually engaging each business unit PoC in addition to key stakeholders and decision makers
- Support each business unit in SharePoint migration efforts
- Work with relevant stakeholders to document corrective actions, track migration and report progress
- Work with the PoC’s in the business units to ensure the data has an owner, classification level and meets privacy, compliance and security requirements when migrating the content
- Follow the migration plan
- Assist in multiple rounds of user acceptance testing
- Perform the full scale migration takes place
- Perform a final round of testing to confirm content has been successfully migrated
- Create a detailed post-migration report is produced to document successes, failures, and/or errors
Minimum Qualification and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in IT, Network Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Technology Management or any related technical field
- 3 to 5 years of leading data migration efforts in large organizations
- Experience with share point is a must
- Experience with Data management is preferred
- Effective communication skills
