Job description

Concept Claims Solutions is looking to recruit an FCA Compliance Officer to work as part of the Senior Leadership Team to assist in the handling of the compliance and management of its franchise network.

The Concept Claims Solutions is a franchise network of over 40 offices (and growing) that provide insurance claims management and building reinstatement service to the general public, and commercial organisations, where they have suffered loss/damage to their property and are making an insurance claim.

The purpose of the role is to onboard new franchise partners as appointed representatives, ensure our existing franchise partners are following the correct processes in accordance with company and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) guidelines and ensure the overall FCA compliance of the business.

Reporting directly to the Group Operations Director the objective of this role will be to manage the company’s compliance duties which include:

  • Conduct compliance monitoring and audits of the significant business processes to provide the business with assurance on FCA regulated business areas.
  • Ensure all compliance requirements are adhered to and the company is FCA compliant.
  • Act as the main point of contact with the FCA and oversee key interaction and reporting to the regulator including collating data and completing filing of returns to the FCA as required.
  • Act as Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for the company with responsibility for ensuring compliance with the company’s Anti-Money Laundering obligations.
  • Monitor, analyse and communicate new regulatory developments and legislation that affect the business and operation of the company.
  • Update all company standard form documents as and when required in accordance with regulatory changes.
  • Liaise with all franchise partners in ensuring all franchisee compliance checks are completed and maintained.
  • Provide guidance/sign off on financial promotions.
  • Understand and implement oversight and audit requirements in accordance with CONC, DISP, TCF, SYSC and PRIN rules.
  • Develop and lead a compliance plan of action.
  • To support and assist the franchise network as required.
  • Help to develop and create internal policies/procedures.
  • Assist the directors to identify, manage and mitigate risks.
  • Monitor FCA publications.
  • Assisting preparing and implementing staff training programs.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven and extensive (at least 5 years) experience in risk & compliance roles (essential)
  • Experience in FCA regulation and its implementation within business operations (essential)

· A developed knowledge of FCA regulations and rule books (essential)

  • Previous knowledge of Compliance Monitoring activity and development of plan (essential)
  • A Compliance or other relevant qualification (essential)
  • Understanding of key regulatory requirements and expectations (essential)
  • Ability to deliver and embed regulatory frameworks (essential)
  • Competent in risk measurement, risk processes, risk monitoring and risk management
  • Well-developed report writing and IT skills
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills, with the flexibility to adapt to changing deadlines
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Driven, with the ability to motivate and lead people

Suitable candidates for the position will already have a working knowledge of FCA regulations, GDPR and Money Laundering Regulations and will have gained extensive experience working in a compliance role (ideally within insurance industry) and will be looking for a new challenge.

The role is essential to Concept’s continued success and ongoing relationships with both franchise partners and the regulators in an ever changing regulatory environment. You will need to be able to cope with a busy work environment dealing with varied tasks throughout the day.

Schedule:

  • Hours: 8.30am to 5.00pm (we can be flexible on hours and days for the right candidate)
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends
