Base salary c £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience; £5,500 cash/car allowance, 10% bonus, private medical insurance & 6% matched pension and much more.
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Compliance Advice Manager to join the Compliance & Risk team following an internal promotion.
We work in a hybrid way, mostly remote with a requirement to travel into our Walsall office once a week to work with the team. With that in mind you will be located within a convenient commute to Walsall.
The role is varied and requires an analytical and conscientious individual to work within a team and independently. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, and organised, with the ability to make decisions quickly and efficiently.
All members of the Compliance Advice team are expected to help facilitate a strong compliance culture throughout the company, and maintain an effective relationship with management and staff within HomeServe assisting them at all times to comply with FCA standards and other regulatory requirements.
Principal accountabilities:
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the FCA’s requirements and standards as they affect HomeServe and provide sound, practical, timely and authoritative compliance advice to the Company on all compliance matters affecting the business.
Support the mitigation of regulatory and reputational risks faced by HomeServe and
conduct risks faced by customers.
Maintain an appropriate audit trail of advice given in line with team procedures.
Support the business by assessing the scope and potential impact of regulatory change and, where necessary, undertake or provide support and consultancy services to any resultant change programmes.
Drive change where required.
Create and issue bulletins to stakeholders on emerging regulatory issues in a timely
and proactive manner.
Provide second line assurance to Compliance & Risk Management through reviews of internal files including, but not limited to, complaints, claims, financial promotions and T&C files.
Identify and produce reporting on activity, issues and emerging risks and business risks to the Compliance and Risk Management Team in accordance with team procedures and as required.
Deliver additional accountabilities as delegated or required on an ad hoc basis.
Supporting the Director of Compliance Advice in ensuring reporting is prepared on a timely basis.
About You
Essential:
Proven track record in second line regulatory compliance experience, including experience in a business advisory role, or related discipline in Financial Services organisations.
A strong understanding of a wide variety of business functions, including an appreciation of typical risks and expected controls.
Practical application of FCA Handbook and related approaches including but not limited to ICOBS, Training & Competence, DISP, PERG, Approved Person Regime, SUP, SYSC and CONC.
Communicating with senior stakeholders independently.
