Currently looking for Compliance Manager.
This is a full time, permanent role working Monday to Friday from 7am to 4pm.
The Compliance Manager will be responsible for drafting, reviewing and updating OHS policies, risk assessment, managing and assisting in completion of audits and management of ISO systems. You will work with line management, office administrator and report to Health and Safety Manager.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing health, safety and environmental advice and assistance to promote a robust safety culture which focuses on accident and injury prevention
- Promoting positive health & safety culture in the workplace
- Ensuring that the company and its’ workers comply with safety legislation and that safety policies and practices are adopted and adhered to
- Assisting in management of risk assessment process including risk identification, mitigation, control measures and implementation;
- Managing own time and diary whilst adhering to set KPI's
- Providing general assistance to Health and Safety Manager in managing the business compliance
- Additional duties will include overseeing of the following administration and report to Health and Safety Manager on any findings:
· Training matrix incl. all training records and employee files;
· PUWER & LOLER incl. conformity certificates, inspection, service records and bookings;
· PPE management incl. stock take, orders, issuing and recording;
· Accident logbook and recording;
· CCTV operation;
· Non-conformance reporting system;
- Deputise for Health and Safety Manager during their absence, in which:
· Liaise with regulatory bodies, e.g. HSE, local and fire authorities, SEPA, Safety Associations, etc.
· Assist line management with OHS enquiries
· Undertake urgent enquiries
- Undertake and oversee internal recruitment process consisting of advertisement, screening of candidates, phased interviews as well as carrying out eligibility to work checks, site tours, inductions and initial training such as standard operational procedures.
- Provide assistance on all HR matters such as RTW interviews, welfare meetings, investigations, disciplinary hearings as well as review, probation, appraisal meetings and drug and alcohol testing.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar compliance role
- Ability to multitask and to work accurately and effectively even under pressure
- High level of numeracy, literacy and computer skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with a can do attitude
- Able to work well as a part of team as well as independently
- Punctual, Flexible and Reliable
- Competent with use of information technology
- Great organisational and management skills
- Keen to learn new skills and willing to attend trainings
- High awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental
Desirable but not essential:
- Previous waste and recycling experience
- Previous experience of ISO management systems
- Knowledge of waste legislation and environmental management
