Job description

As a Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for the management of contracts currently covering over 400 properties in a large geographical area.

The role holder will undertake site visits regularly to manage the facilities, ensuring that the main buildings are meeting regulations and assisting your colleagues with any challenges they are facing with their facilities.

The successful candidate's focus will be to manage and monitor contractor works undertaken, ensuring the work completed is compliant and up to standard. You will play a key part in monitoring the performance of our suppliers, flagging any non-compliant works undertaken is communicated directly to contractors.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

  • Ensuring that any sub-standard work is raised in the compliance visit report and escalated through appropriate channels as necessary.

  • Assist in Management of the TFM contract by adhering to the timelines agreed for reports and escalations.

  • Ensuring that any work that is not completed is raised in a timely manner allowing colleagues to progress works to resolution.

  • Undertake Ad-hoc tasks and meetings as required to improve contract performance.

  • Provide guidance to staff to support the delivery of objectives.

  • Manage and engage with honesty and integrity, upholding the reputation of the Agency, Department and Civil Service.

Person specification

To thrive in this role, you have strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships, with colleagues and external contractors and customers.

You have an analytical mind and are serviced focused, with the ability to effectively report your findings to colleagues.

You have excellent organisation skills and can prioritise your workload, when presented with conflicting deadlines to achieve agreed timescales.

There will be a development opportunity for you to gain the following qualifications whilst in post, if not already held:

  • IWFM Qualification
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • IOSH Legionella Management

Additional Information

The role involves extensive travel and regular overnight stays across a large geographical area of Great Britain.
