Our Compliance team is growing and we are looking for a Risk and Compliance Manager to work with the Divisional Head of Risk & Compliance in the continuous improvement of the risk management framework, embedding a UK&I wide risk and compliance monitoring programme and managing the FCA relationship to ensure ongoing compliance with existing and emerging regulatory requirements.
This role involves a wide range of risk, control and compliance activity and is a great opportunity for you to help shape and develop the risk function bringing new and innovative ways of dealing with compliance and continual improvement.
This role can be based in Manchester or London, working in a hybrid environment.
What you will need to bring to the role:
Experience of the complex risk and compliance landscape across the financial services sector, with a good working knowledge of the FCA Handbook, MiFID, AIFMD, SMCR and financial promotions rules.
Must be able to satisfy the FCA criteria as a fit and proper person under the Senior Managers Regime in respect of the role’s responsibilities.
The successful candidate will work independently, be self-motivated and will keep abreast of the latest industry trends and regulatory requirements across CBRE.
Practical experience must demonstrate:
- Proven compliance leadership experience in an FCA regulated environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver messages to all levels of the business including senior management and external audiences
- Ability to lead projects and proactively drive business change programmes
- Business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality
- Methodical and diligent with outstanding attention to detail and organisational skills
- An analytical mind able to identify the complexities of procedures and regulations
