Job description
Recra is working in partnership with a leading manufacturing Engineering company, based in the Peterborough area and is looking to add an experienced Systems Compliance Manager to join their team. To ensure compliance with current national, European, and international engineering & safety standards in the design, planning, and delivery of food processing systems.
Duties & responsibilities:

Engineering Design:
- Support design teams for both machinery and process line development with a focus on control, automation & functional safety.
- Responsibility for compliance-related documentation including FDS, DRA, HAZOP & SRS.
- Support safety design from first principles including device specification, system architecture, and software design.
Project Engineering:
- FAT of control systems.
- Attend functional safety reviews.
- Validation of functional safety designs including Sistema/Pascal reports.
- Attend electrical design reviews.
Technical Support:
- Technical input at the quotation stage including budget costings.
- Support installation activities.
- Systems and safety validation activities.
Skills/experience:
- Formal functional safety accreditation such as CMSE FSeng.
- Qualification in an associated technology field such as electrical/electronic engineering or control systems engineering.
- Detailed working knowledge of functional safety in machinery or process control.
Personal attributes:
- Have a flexible approach to working with the ability to help and assist others in finding solutions to technically complex challenges.
- Can work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Can prioritize workload where multiple requests for support are made.
- Can act in a consultancy role internally to support various disciplines.
- Willingness to take on extra tasks and as required by workload.
- A down-to-earth and technically competent individual.
- A logical thinker, a complex problem solver who produces positive outcomes.
