Protocol is working closely with a college in the South Shields, in their search for a Payroll Officer.
The position is temporary ongoing, working full time 37 hours per week.
In this position you will provide a comprehensive front end of payroll service over a dual site.
Role responsibilities
- To ensure effective and efficient delivery of the front end payroll service across college campus payroll arrangements.
- Process payroll for new staff, leavers and any in employment changes.
- Liase with the external payroll provider to ensure appropriate processing of all payroll information.
- Ensure that all records are updated and filed accordingly, liasing with the appropriate collegaues and bringing any issues to their attention.
- Provide a high quality service to internal customers, ensure that all queries are directed appropraitely.
- To complete any other tasks commensurate with the post.
The person & qualifications
- Comprehensive experience of delivering of a payroll service.
- Comprehensive understanding and application of payroll regulations and legislation.
- Evidence strong experience in following processes and procedures.
- Experience of developing, implementing and monitoring payroll processes.
- Maths and English GSCE Grade C or Equivalent.
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Business Administration.
