Payroll Officer

  • Contract: Permanent/Full-Time
  • Location: Belfast
  • Hybrid Options after Probation
  • Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 (Negotiable depending on experience)

Seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a wonderful charity in Belfast.

The successful candidate will manage a team of payroll staff to provide an effective and timely payroll service to around 500 staff between NI and ROI.

The Role:

  • Take lead in the end-to-end processing the organisation’s payrolls.
  • Leading the payroll team to ensure the accurate and timely processing of staff payroll.
  • Liaise closely with relevant departments to ensure accuracy of payroll.
  • Processing statutory payments
  • Liaising with HMRC
  • Processing payroll year-ends in line with PAYE legislation
  • Ensuring all work is completed accurately and to deadline.

The Person:

  • Full, clean driving license with access to own transport
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience
  • AAT/CIPP/ICB or Other Relevant qualification desirable but not essential
  • Strong background in a similar role
  • Experience of managing and guiding a team
  • Proven working knowledge of payroll processes and regulations.
  • Great attention-to-detail and accuracy skills
  • A desire to develop personally and professionally.
